What are Mail Templates?

The purpose of the Mail Templates is to allow you to send emails to your affiliates for the various common functions performed in a typical affiliate management process, without having to type the same email repeatedly. It aims to increase productivity for your affiliate management.

Types of Mail Templates

  1. 'Add' Template: Sent when you have approved the new applying affiliate (pending affiliate).
  2. 'Reject' Template: Sent when you declined the new applying affiliate (pending affiliate).
  3. 'Enable' Template: Sent when you enabled a disabled affiliate.
  4. 'Disable' Template: Sent when you disabled an active affiliate.
  5. 'Pay' Template: Sent when you paid the affiliates commissions.
  6. 'Delete' Template: Sent when you delete active affiliates.
  7. 'Commission Cancellation' Template: Sent when you delete affiliates' commissions.
  8. 'New Affiliate Sign Up' Template: Sent when a new affiliate has signed up (pending approval). * Note: you must enable this feature in your Webmasters Settings.
  9. 'Automatic Affiliate Sale' Template: Sent when your affiliate has made a sale. * Note: you must enable this feature in your Webmasters Settings.
  10. 'Commission Update' Template: Sent when you change affiliates' commission value.
  11. 'Commission Confirm' Template: Sent when you approve a pending sale.

Edit Mail Templates

You can edit any template just by clicking on the template. An Editing pane will appear.

You can switch your mail templates to send as a rich or plain text mail.

Toggle between the 2 types via "Convert to rich text" and vice versa.

For each of the Mail Template email content, you can include any of the following variables. These variables will be replaced by their exact values when the AffiliateShop service sends emails to your affiliates.

Variable Description
$AffiliateID$ Specifies the affiliate ID. E.g. "AID123456"
$AffiliateIDN$ Specifies the affiliate ID number without the AID. E.g. "123456"
$ContactName$ Specifies the affiliate's name
$CompanyName$ Specifies the name of the affiliate's company
$AddressStreet$ Specifies the street address of the affiliate
$AddressCity$ Specifies the city value of the affiliate's address
$AddressState$ Specifies the state value of the affiliate's address
$AddressCountry$ Specifies the country value of the affiliate's address
$AddressZip$ Specifies the zip code value of the affiliate's address
$Email$ Specifies the affiliate's email address
$WM_WebmasterID$ Specifies your AffiliateShop webmaster ID. E.g. "WID123456"
$WM_ProgramName$ Specifies your affiliate Program Name
$WM_ContactName$ Specifies your contact name
$WM_Email$ Specifies your email address
$OrderID$ Specifies the Order ID for the transaction.

* Note: This variable is valid ONLY for the Affiliate Sale Notification Template.

$TotalCommission$ Specifies the total commission earned by your affiliate.
